A nurse owns this house, and lives its schedule.
Most adult foster homes call a nurse when something changes. Here the nurse is already in the room — and that single fact shapes everything else about how this house runs.

Owned and run by a registered nurse.
Families feel the difference almost immediately. A decline gets noticed on the day it starts rather than at the next visit. Medication questions get answered without a phone tree. And a resident whose needs increase does not automatically have to move.
It also changes what we can accept in the first place. Level 3 classification is available to licensed health professionals and to providers with extensive experience caring for dependent populations — which is why a referral that has been declined elsewhere is still worth sending to us.
Five people, one household, one routine.
An adult foster home is a licensed single-family residence, not a wing of a building. Oregon caps them at five residents, and that cap is the whole point — it is what keeps a caregiver's attention divisible by five rather than by fifty.
A calm, predictable day
Meals, rest and activity happen at the same times each day. For a resident living with dementia, that rhythm does more than any amount of signage.
Nursing taught in the house
Delegated nursing tasks are trained and supervised here rather than contracted out, so the person doing wound care was trained on that specific resident by the nurse who owns the home.
Families are not visitors
No appointment, no visiting hours, no front desk. If you want to come at seven in the morning and make your mother's coffee, that is a normal thing to do here.
Well-trained, knowledgeable caregivers.
Everyone who cares for residents at Hased Haven is trained and supervised by our registered nurse-owner. Our caregivers know how to support daily living, follow each resident's care plan, and notice the small changes that matter.
Training happens here in the home, on each resident's own needs, and it continues as those needs change. Whoever is on shift knows the plan, the routine and the person.
